Fishing Fight!

The dream was in 2 parts...

Part 1: My Family
The dream started off with the arrival of my cousin sister and her 2 kids. Rinku Didi is divorced and we are quite close to each other. Well they came and I think an argument took place. Alex (my small nephew) went to sleep on the bed while my Mum asked my sister to stay on for the weekend, since it was already a Thursday. In my dream, Mum agreed to get them dropped home on Sunday. I then went to sleep next to Alex. He was dreaming, and by holding him, I began to dream his dream...

Part 2: Fishing Buddies
This part of the dream started off with a group of friends at a river pier, trying to fish. The water looked very deep but calm. Since it was a child's dream, the main guy had a fishing rod which was a toy - a green, plastic rod with a small, plastic prong on the end. Obviously the guys were not be able to catch any fish with that, so they tried putting some bait on the prongs. The main guy was still unable to catch any fish, hence he decided to use a blue plastic rope with live fish bait at the end. The line was long and he threw it far into the waters. He managed to then catch two huge fish, almost 2 feet long each. Once fish was black, the other greyish.

The group of friends decided that they had caught enough fish for all, and they wouldn't be greedy and try and catch more. They left the pier and went to their open-top jeep. Amongst the group, there was a girl, who had been dating the main guy. They got into an argument over their relationship. He got into the front of the jeep along with the driver, while she sat in the back with the other guys. She asked him "So have you been seeing me only so you could sleep with me and use me?" He replied "Yes!" Irritated, the girl began to flirt with one of the guys. He was quite unique since he had certain powers to affect the weather...

Suffocation!

I have been dreaming for the past few days, but haven't been able to remember. Last night's dream is also pretty fuzzy...

I dreamt that there was some kind of accident, whereby the air was sucked out of the world. Beyond a certain perimeter, there was no air for people to breathe... So certain blocks of houses had air in them. People panicked and some decided to move on and find other places to live. What they did not was that there wouldn't be any air anywhere else, that it wouldn't be safe anywhere else. Still they went.

I dreamt that I was in the safe area and I moved into one of the empty apartments, quite big and impressive. There was a bus service and I took the bus within the Safe zone to visit someone who knew what was going on. He explained that this accident would be fixed after a definite period of time. The whole world would soon have air again. I asked him about the other places, other people, other houses. He said that when the vacuum would be lifted, there would be more houses for everyone, since not many people would survive this!

I know there was more to this dream but I can't remember....

Water themes

Couldn't sleep too well last night. Had 2 different dreams with the same theme - Water!

Dream 1: Fishbowl
I dreamt of a family, maybe mine, can't remember. The family had a bowl of fish, lot of different fish, some were golden in color. So they decided that they needed to change the water in the fish bowl. In front of the house, there was a huge, rusty tin container, squarish in shape, filled with water, which seemed murky due to the black container. The family decided to take water from here.

During this time, there was a drought going on, hence hardly any water anywhere. When the villagers/town-folk came to know that the family was wasting water on fish, they became enraged and came as a mob to harm this family. In their haste to escape, some fish were left behind in the in the container... End Dream

Dream 2: Deluge of water
Quite opposite in a way, this dream. I dreamt that there was a flood and everything was covered by water. Within houses, libraries, water has reached till the stairs. However, the water is quite clear and the tiles underneath can be seen. However, in my dream, no one goes below the water, no one explores the bottom due to some unfathomable reason that is not known to people. They just know that they haven't gone to the bottom, because it scares them.

My brother Sunny decided to explore, so he ties a string around his waist with a helium baloon at the other end. This will help us identify his position under water and if he needs to be pulled up, he will just tug at his end of the string. He walks down the steps and goes underneath. However, there is soon a frantic tugging at the string and we immediately haul him up. We ask him what happened... He can't say, all he murmurs is something was there, something under the water that scared him. We realize that the flooding has lead to some monster being free in the city... End Dream

I know that the adventures have to do with the game Prince of Persia which I have been playing for the last 2 weeks, and have become intensely involved in.

Lost for Attention

The dream I had, had 2 alternate endings and a fuzzy beginning...

Starts off with a young, naive girl, 17-18 yrs, rescued by a older, heroic man from some danger, from some problems. They live together thereafter, I'm not sure if they get married. He's rich, they have many luxuries and they live in a big mansion-like house in a posh, old-money part of town. She falls in love with him and they have 2 beautiful kids. He too loves her, but with him, love is not so obvious...

Years pass, things change, she changes... Becomes older, more sophisticated. As with many other relationships, they start taking each other for granted, they become stale. He starts seeing other women, she starts bringing home young men, in a bid for his attention. But he doesn't seem to care or notice... She flaunts the men in front of him, she's hoping he'll react, say something, he'll care, but he doesn't!

Cut to Alternate Ending 1 (unfinished in my dream)
One day she disappears, he doesn't notice for the first 2 days. Her timings were always erratic, she used to sleep late in the mornings, come back in the wee hours of the night. On the 3rd day, his small son rushes into his arms, crying that he wants Mama... That's when he realizes that she's not been there for atleast 3 days.

Cut to: The electricity in the house suddenly goes off, the house falls into darkness. He goes into his study to find that there are some men sitting there. These are thugs who mean business! They have kidnapped his wife and they want money or else...

Cut to: He's in the living room with a detective/doctor (friend), trying to figure out how the men kidnapped her. They're peering out through the windows blinds. The detective says "Lets assume that these men are nearby, staying in one of the houses opposite since they know so much about this house." There are are some flower-sellers across the street in a open courtyard. The 'husband' remembers that she loves flowers, she loved decorating the house with flowers. He imagines her buying flowers, and she has her baby with her. And he imagines her playing with the baby, sitting down next to the flower-sellers and playing with the child, its just the sort of thing she would do. In her innocense she wouldn't care to see where she was. He told the detective this "I can just imagine her there, and that would catch the attention of the flower-sellers, make her a likely target."
... This part of the dream ended here, moved to Ending 2!


Cut to Alternate Ending 2 (unfinished in my dream)
The girl is sitting on some steps by the river, she is almost naked, she has run away from home. Its night, but there are people around, firelight... She's forlorn, murmurs to herself "Why can't a women have a baby by herself?" She realizes that if she goes back to him, he would take care of her, give her a baby. She thinks that if she shows she loves him and cares for him, she would be able to win his love.

Cut to: The girl is dressed very nicely, wearing a blue sari, head covered. She's going back home to win his love
