Cops & Robbers

Its a pretty short dream...

I dreamt that there's a robbery in a room in an office building. The room is almost classroom-like in aspect, like one of the government building offices. The masked robbers are holding people hostage, while stealing something.

After the robbery is complete, the robbers disperse and one of them hides in a loft above one of the corridors in the building. Below, 2 cops are discussing the case, and their investogation, blissfully unaware that there's an evesdropper. The robber looks down upon them through the venetian blinds. Suddenly, one of the cops glance up, and the robber quickly darts back into the shadows. The cops decide that they are going to meet in Mission Room 1 within a specified period of time. However, Cop 2 needs to get something first, so he'll meet the other cop there in 15 mins.

Cop 1 starts off to the Mission Room 1. Unfortunately, the robber realizes that Mission Room 1 is the place through which he needs to go in order to escaoe from the building. Hence he has to reach there before Cop 1. So he sets off and starts climbing the staircase that leads to Mission Room 1, many floors up.

Behind him, walking up the stairs is Cop 1, who's on the phone and doesn't realize that the man in front of him is the Robber they are looking for. On the way, the two pass a man, one of the hostage victims who have been freed. He spots the Robber, doesn't recognize his face (which was masked) but he notices the man's sleeve and hand. He feels that it seems familiar, it seems like one of the robber's hand, he had noticed during the robbery.

He decides, he's going to find out whether the Man is the Robber by following him. So up they all climb, first the Robber, followed by the Cop and then the Hostage bringing up the rear. The Robber notices the 2 following him, but he can't run since that will bring suspicion on hm. He wants to scare off the Hostage but can't, since the Cop is between them.

The Hostage wants to approach the Robber, but is not sure, doesn't know what to ask, doesn't want to ask anything in front of a stranger (the Cop). The Cop is in the middle, and doesn't realize the drama that is being played out around him, he's oblivious, busy laughing on the phone...

And they keep climbing!
